New Partner Alert: Bailey Bug Joins Forces with ISAIC

In the heartwarming intersection of compassion and entrepreneurship lies the story of Melanie, the founder of Bailey Bug. At just 19 years old, Melanie embarked on a journey fueled by love and a desire to honor her sister Bailey, who lived with a rare form of epilepsy called Lennox-Gastaut syndrome. Bailey's passing at the age of 20 left Melanie with a profound mission: to ensure that her sister's legacy lived on and that others in similar circumstances could feel seen and supported.

"Starting Bailey Bug was my way of making sure people knew how important my sister was to me," Melanie reminisced. "I wanted to create something that would allow others to know who she was and feel the love and importance she brought into my life."

Bailey Bug, named after Melanie's beloved sister, specializes in crafting coats tailored for wheelchair users. These coats serve not only as protective garments but also as symbols of empowerment and inclusivity. Melanie's journey began with her hands-on approach, sewing coats in her living room. As demand grew, she sought manufacturing partners, eventually finding a home with ISAIC.

Director of Operations at ISAIC, Lionel Vargas Cruz, states “At ISAIC, we are proud to partner with a value aligned brand like Bailey Bug. We appreciate the mission of Bailey Bug and Melanie's interest in supporting people with disabilities. Her passion and connection to uplifting community really matches the efforts that ISAIC is trying to do to be less wasteful and more diversified in our production approach.”

"ISAIC has been an incredible partner from the start," Melanie shared. "Their dedication to efficiency and sustainability align perfectly with our mission at Bailey Bug."

Melanie emphasized the importance of efficiency in manufacturing, saying, "ISAIC's capability to minimize waste and utilize resources efficiently has been instrumental in scaling Bailey Bug's production."

Additionally, Melanie highlighted ISAIC's commitment to sustainability, saying, "ISAIC's support in sourcing sustainable materials aligns seamlessly with our mission to provide quality products while minimizing environmental impact."

Reflecting on her experience working with ISAIC, Melanie expressed her gratitude for the genuine partnership cultivated. "Unlike traditional manufacturing experiences, ISAIC embraced our vision wholeheartedly," she said. "They offer not only production capabilities but also support and guidance every step of the way."

Melanie's vision for the future of Bailey Bug is deeply rooted in her mission of inclusivity and accessibility. "I envision Bailey Bug expanding its reach to serve a diverse clientele," she shared. "From assisted living facilities to organizations like the Make-A-Wish Foundation, our goal is to spread warmth and inclusivity to all."

Melanie's advice to aspiring entrepreneurs echoed her own journey of resilience and determination. "Start before you're ready, embrace your passion, and seek support from those around you," she advised. "Share your journey with the world and don't be afraid to ask for help."

ISAIC is proud to partner with Bailey Bug to help innovate Melanie take her company to new heights by elevating the business’ production capabilities and giving a new training opportunity to our operators to learn how to produce a new garment. Stay tuned for learnings and success as the partnership unfolds!
