With skills learned in Fundamentals of Industrial Sewing and Production, it’s possible to pursue all three! Developed by renowned industry educator Deborah Vandermar, co-author of the internationally used textbook "Beyond Design," this course is the gold star in training. It’s being used across the country and is offered right here in Detroit in our factory classroom.
DEVELOP SKILLS
Whether your interest is in apparel manufacturing, automotive sewing or another industry, the skills learned in FISP position you for jobs are are available throughout Metro Detroit.
ESTABLISH CREDIBILITY
Emerging fashion designers and entrepreneurs have enrolled in the FISP course to better understand the production process and how to design with manufacturing in mind.
BUILD A CAREER
The opportunities don’t end with sewing. Completing the FISP course can set you up for further training in advanced manufacturing, automation.
